The Venus Garden, formerly known as the East Terrace Garden at Windsor Castle, will welcome the public from July 16 to September 13. This transformation, guided by King Charles' vision, aims to create a garden rich in beauty, interest, and biodiversity throughout the seasons.
Approximately 11,000 spring bulbs have been planted to ensure stunning floral displays early in the year. The garden's manager noted the 18-month project reshapes the historic space for future generations.
This summer marks an important new chapter for the garden, which has a 200-year history. Its origins trace back to the 1820s on the site of Charles II's former bowling green.
Visits to the newly designed Venus Garden are included with a standard ticket to Windsor Castle. The garden was last open to the public intermittently during the summers of 2020 and 2021.
