Shoshana Bean, a former Wicked on Broadway star, is eagerly anticipating the release of the upcoming Wicked film sequels, even though she hasn't watched the first part yet. In an exclusive interview on October 24th, 2025, Bean explained that she's been waiting to watch both Wicked: Part 1 and Wicked: For Good back-to-back, so she can fully immerse herself in the story.
One of the reasons Bean is excited for the films is the opportunity to see the song "No Good Deed" on the big screen. As the former Elphaba, she believes the dramatic number will have even more impact in a cinematic setting. "It's a very cinematic song, and I would love to see it have more life than what a stage is capable of doing," she says.
In addition to the Wicked sequels, Bean has other major projects on the horizon. On November 4th, 2025, she will release her new album "Only Smoke," and just a few days earlier, on November 3rd, she will headline Carnegie Hall for the first time. "Oh my god, my album comes out next week," Bean says excitedly.
