New Film Explores NYC Encounters

Assaf Machnes' debut feature, 'Where To?', will soon premiere in the Berlinale's Perspectives section. The film, set against the backdrop of Berlin's nightlife, centers on the interactions between a Palestinian Uber driver and his young Israeli passenger.
Palestinian actor Ehab Salami and Israeli actor Ido Tako star as the driver and passenger, respectively. This marks Machnes' first feature film after a career of acclaimed short films. Paris-based Lucky Number has secured the international sales rights for the movie.
Lucky Number expressed excitement about the film's humanity and its ability to portray genuine connection between strangers through a simple taxi ride. The production is a collaboration involving 2-Team Productions, Rogovin Brothers, Iconoclast Films, Lev Cinemas, and co-production partners ZDF and ARTE.
