A young drummer, Noah Key, from Bridgnorth, is currently performing in the West End musical Kinky Boots at London's Coliseum. Despite the demanding schedule of eight shows weekly, Key, 22, finds the experience deeply fulfilling, stating it "doesn't hugely feel like a job."
His involvement in theatre began at age four, and he has a history of stage appearances, including a role in "School Of Rock" as a child and a previous West End stint in "I Can't Sing: The X Factor Musical." Key also competed on Britain's Got Talent.
Prior to his current role, Key played drums in a band for over four years. His career has included performing from unusual locations such as corridors and even a car park, making his current sound-proof booth in the pit a significant improvement. Consistency is a key skill, but Key also values the moments where he can add his personal flair.
Key noted that his family is not involved in percussion, making his theatrical drumming path his "own little route." He grew up immersed in the theatre environment, though his parents did not push him towards performing.
