The upcoming film 'Welcome to the Jungle,' starring Akshay Kumar and directed by Ahmed Khan, has confirmed its Dubai shooting schedule. A major focus will be Suniel Shetty's grand introduction scene, which is described as one of the movie's most expensive and visually spectacular sequences.
This pivotal scene will be filmed over three days mid-sea, aboard a 200-foot yacht equipped with a helipad. Shetty will make his entrance via helicopter alongside Arshad Warsi and other cast members including Paresh Rawal, Johnny Lever, and Rajpal Yadav. Producer Firoz A. Nadiadwallah insisted on Dubai for its suitability to the film's universal family entertainer vibe.
Suniel Shetty, who has a 35-year association with Dubai, shared his comfort and excitement about filming there. The ensemble cast also includes Disha Patani, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, and Sanjay Dutt. 'Welcome to the Jungle' is slated for a theatrical release on June 26, 2026.
