Nick Park's latest creation, a full-length feature starring Wallace and Gromit, combines DreamWorks pizzazz with gentle English humor. The beloved duo operates Anti-Pesto, a firm dedicated to humanely removing rabbits that threaten vegetable gardens, particularly for the annual village fete competition.
Their mission takes a turn when Wallace develops a contraption to extract 'inappropriate thoughts' from rabbits. This invention malfunctions spectacularly, causing Wallace's mind to merge with the rabbit consciousness, leading to surreal transformations. This escalating madness sets the stage for a conflict with Victor Quartermaine, Lady Tottington's aggressive suitor.
The film is praised for its clever writing, visual gags, and the exceptional voice performances by Peter Sallis and Ralph Fiennes. It offers pure, unpretentious joy, blending action, romance, and comedic horror with a touch of classic film pastiche.
