Wade Bowen's Raw Diary: A Six-Year Journey to Release

Texas country artist Wade Bowen is celebrating a dual album release cycle. His album 'The Version of Me You Get,' recorded in 2020, has been released in September 2026. The record was initially shelved due to Bowen's personal challenges, including vocal cord issues and the grief from his nephew's death, compounded by the global pandemic. Six years after its creation, Bowen revisited the album and found it more profound than he remembered, leading to a new mix and release.

This 10-track LP is noted for its raw vulnerability and intimate portrayal of Bowen's headspace during a difficult period. It showcases a departure from his signature honky-tonk sound, incorporating a distinct rock edge. The album features collaborations and poignant tracks reflecting his journey. Furthermore, Bowen is commemorating the 20th anniversary of his pivotal 2006 album, 'Lost Hotel,' with a deluxe version to be released in November 2026. This upcoming release will include previously unheard studio tracks, live recordings, and demos, honoring a record he feels proud of for its attempt to establish his songwriting prowess.
