The latest trailer for Marvel's VisionQuest showcases the shocking return of Ultron, the villain voiced by James Spader, who menacingly interacts with Vision, portrayed by Paul Bettany. This new series marks the conclusion of a trilogy that began with WandaVision and continued with Agatha All Along. Vision, initially living peacefully on society's outskirts, is thrust into a visible struggle when a bounty is placed on his head. He must confront his past and the dark legacy of Ultron to save his magically created son, Tommy.
Vision's quest to rescue Tommy involves a dangerous alliance with Ultron, who demands his own freedom in exchange for assisting Vision. This precarious partnership heralds severe repercussions, as Ultron ominously declares his intent to complete his original mission. The series also features other MCU AI personifications, including D.U.M.-E, U, J.A.R.V.I.S., F.R.I.D.A.Y., and E.D.I.T.H., adding layers to Vision's perilous journey.
VisionQuest is set to premiere on Disney+ on October 14, 2026, concluding the narrative arc that began with the introduction of Wanda and Vision's children in WandaVision and the subsequent appearances of Billy Maximoff in Agatha All Along. The earlier series explored the fates of their children, Billy and Tommy, as their spirits were transferred into different bodies following Wanda's magical interventions.
