Vishal Slams Rajendra Prasad Over MGR Remarks

Actor Vishal has voiced strong condemnation regarding controversial statements made by senior Telugu actor Rajendra Prasad about the revered Tamil actor-politician MGR (MG Ramachandran). Prasad's remarks, made at a recent event in Hyderabad, suggested that MGR was intimidated by the actor Kantha Rao. Vishal, expressing his dismay via an X post, stated that while praising Kantha Rao is welcome, demeaning MGR is unacceptable given his legendary status and leadership in Tamil Nadu.

Vishal highlighted that MGR is still remembered fondly and that such comments do not sit well with the sentiments of the Tamil people. He formally requested Rajendra Prasad to address the issue responsibly and issue an apology, drawing a parallel to how he himself would react if an actor of Prasad's stature were spoken of ill. The controversy has also drawn criticism from Tamil producer G Dhananjheyan, who called the speech "ridiculous and unacceptable."
