Virgin River Cast Puzzled by Show's Timeline

The cast of the popular Netflix series "Virgin River" has admitted to being puzzled by the show's timeline, with multiple actors offering different estimations for how much time has actually passed. While the series is now seven seasons in, premiered in 2019 and set in Northern California, the on-screen duration seems significantly shorter to those involved.

Benjamin Hollingsworth, who plays Brady, speculated that only about six months have passed, describing the duration as "nuts." Marco Grazzini, portraying Mike, suggested a longer period of around a year and a half, referencing Charmaine's pregnancy in the first season and the subsequent birth of her twins. Sarah Dugdale, portraying Lizzie, offered an estimate of about a year and three months, admitting she had forgotten the writers' previous confirmation.

Dugdale also expressed concern for her character Brie and Brady following a shocking season finale cliffhanger. Brady was involved in a motorcycle accident, leaving his fate uncertain heading into season 8. Dugdale conveyed her worry about the characters' turbulent relationship and hoped for a resolution where they could find happiness together.

Both Hollingsworth and Dugdale acknowledged that the cast often receives character arc pitches at the beginning of writing new seasons, but these details are subject to change.
