Violet Grohl will release her debut album, 'Be Sweet to Me,' on May 29 via Auroura Records/Republic Records. She has also unveiled a new single, "595," accompanied by a music video.
The album was crafted in a Los Angeles home studio, drawing inspiration from 1980s and 1990s alternative music. Grohl cited influences such as Pixies, Soundgarden, Cocteau Twins, and the Breeders, noting the authentic and raw quality of that era's music.
Previously, Grohl released the single "What's Heaven Without You" in January, a song written in the aftermath of the Altadena fires and in memory of filmmaker David Lynch. She has a history of musical collaborations, including a cover of X's "Nausea" with her father, Dave Grohl, and performances with the Foo Fighters, notably during their tribute concerts for Taylor Hawkins.
