Madhuri Dixit Bleeds After Vinod Khanna Kiss Scene

The 1988 blockbuster film Dayavan featured a highly controversial intimate scene between actors Vinod Khanna and Madhuri Dixit. Despite being one of the highest-paid actors, Khanna reportedly took a pay cut to accommodate this scene. At the time, a young Madhuri Dixit expressed discomfort with the lip-lock, especially with a much older co-star.

The intensity of the scene reportedly led Khanna to continue kissing Dixit even after the director yelled 'cut'. The situation escalated to a point where Dixit was left bleeding, a moment she later described as shocking. Following the film's release, the scene sparked widespread outrage.

Director Feroz Khan faced legal notices demanding the scene's removal, but he refused. Madhuri Dixit herself requested its deletion. However, Khan ultimately paid Dixit Rs 1 crore as compensation and kept the scene, which contributed to the film's blockbuster status.

This experience profoundly affected Madhuri Dixit. In subsequent interviews, she revealed that she was unaware of the scene's full extent during filming. The incident left her so uncomfortable that she resolved never to perform similar intimate scenes on the big screen again.
