The Bruce Springsteen Center for American Music at Monmouth University will host its inaugural Summer Concert Series starting on Thursday, July 16. Kicking off the free events will be Vini Lopez, a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee who drummed on early Bruce Springsteen albums. Lopez will perform with his band, The Wonderful Winos, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. outdoors at the Klose Amphitheater.
The concert series is scheduled to run every Thursday evening through August 20. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets, and the museum will be open until 8 p.m. on concert nights for those wishing to visit before the performance. The Asbury Park country duo Williams Honor is slated to perform on July 23, with additional acts yet to be announced.
