21 Mar
Summary
- Vince Gill stepped in for Joe Walsh during flu illness.
- A fan heckled Vince Gill for Joe Walsh's absence.
- Other concertgoers intervened to silence the heckler.

Vince Gill, a member of the Eagles since 2017, recently recounted an incident where a fan aggressively heckled him during a concert at the Sphere in Las Vegas. The guitarist Joe Walsh was absent due to the flu, leading Gill to cover Walsh's signature songs.
Gill described the fan as being "so mad that Joe wasn't there, and he's taking it out on me." Even Eagles frontman Don Henley was subjected to criticism from the same heckler when he briefly addressed the audience. Eventually, other concert attendees had enough of the disruption. One fan reportedly grabbed the heckler and threatened to assault him if he did not stop.
The Eagles are continuing their residency at the Sphere with both Vince Gill and Joe Walsh. They are also scheduled for additional tour dates in May, including performances at the New Orleans JazzFest and Vanderbilt University's FirstBank Stadium in Nashville.
