In November 2025, it was announced that actors Vikrant Massey and Mahima Makwana will play the romantic leads in Netflix's adaptation of the novel 'Musafir Café' by Divya Prakash Dubey. Mahima Makwana has already commenced shooting for the series in the hill town of Mussoorie, where she will portray the character of Sudha, a free-spirited lawyer. Meanwhile, Vikrant Massey has been cast in the role of Chandar, a software engineer with literary aspirations.
Although Massey and Makwana have previously appeared in the popular daily soap 'Balika Vadhu', this will mark their first major joint project.
