Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt and his wife Shwetambari were granted temporary bail on February 13, 2025, amidst allegations of fraud totaling Rs 30 crore. The situation gained further attention after casting director Parag Chadha accused Bhatt of non-payment for the 2023 film '1920: Horrors of the Heart'.
A crew member, Sneha Sharma, who served as the lead actress's makeup artist, has now publicly stated she is owed Rs 20 lakh for her services and those of her assistants. She mentioned that initial payments were made, but funding issues arose during the second schedule, despite production continuing.
Sharma detailed that her per-day rate was Rs 18,000, and she received only half her fee by the shoot's conclusion. Attempts to contact Bhatt's team and even the director, Krishna Bhatt, were reportedly met with dismissals regarding financial matters. Sharma declined a request for additional filming days due to the outstanding payment.
