Vijay Thalapathy's Rs 250 Cr Alimony Offer Amidst Divorce

Actor Vijay Thalapathy is reportedly seeking an out-of-court settlement for his divorce from Sangeetha Sornalingam, having proposed an alimony payment of Rs 250 crore. The divorce petition, filed in December 2025, cites Vijay's alleged extramarital affair with an actress and claims he frequently travelled abroad with her. Sangeetha's petition also states that the actress shared pictures of these outings on social media, causing her and their children distress.

Adding to the ongoing public interest, Vijay was recently seen attending a wedding reception with actress Trisha Krishnan. The duo, who have starred together in several hit films and recently reunited for a 2023 movie, arrived and left the event together, drawing significant attention amidst the divorce controversy. Neither Vijay nor Trisha has publicly commented on the allegations linking them.

Vijay's son, Jason Sanjay, has reportedly unfollowed his father on Instagram, seemingly siding with his mother amid the controversy. The actor aims to settle the matter privately, reportedly to protect his public image and family dignity, with the divorce plea expected to be withdrawn upon mutual agreement.
