Vicky Kaushal Hails Dhurandhar Franchise Success

Actor Vicky Kaushal recently expressed his admiration for filmmaker Aditya Dhar's "Dhurandhar" franchise. Speaking at the International Film Festival of Delhi 2026, Kaushal conveyed his delight over the films' immense success. He commended Aditya Dhar as a skilled filmmaker and praised the cast assembled for the project. Kaushal mentioned he loved the first "Dhurandhar" film and was looking forward to watching the sequel.

The "Dhurandhar" franchise has demonstrated significant box office power. The initial film, released in December 2025, achieved worldwide revenues reportedly surpassing Rs 1300 crore. This success paved the way for its sequel.

"Dhurandhar: The Revenge," which premiered on March 19, continues the narrative of Ranveer Singh's character, Hamza Ali Mazari. The sequel explores Mazari's origins as Jaskirat Singh Rangi and delves deeper into his experiences in Karachi's underworld. The film also features Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Rakesh Bedi, Danish Pandor, and Sara Arjun.

With a blend of action, espionage, and themes centered on national security, the sequel has also garnered substantial financial success. Its global box office earnings are reported to have crossed Rs 1000 crore.
