In October 2025, industry veterans Neil Zeiger and Martin Proctor have launched a new independent production company called Flickers Films. The company will cover both film and television projects, spanning scripted dramas as well as documentaries.
Zeiger, who previously served as Creative Director of scripted at Keeping Faith producer Nevision, and Proctor, whose credits include The Day the Silence Died and Sam Shepard movie Blackthorn, have teamed up to establish Flickers Films. The new banner has a slate of co-productions in the works, including a high-end UK thriller from Ashes to Ashes screenwriter Ashley Pharoah and documentary filmmaker Ann Hawker's first dramatic feature, An Austrian Holiday.
Additionally, Flickers Films is developing the dark comedy Bad Priest with filmmaker Jamie Patterson and a documentary titled Inside Out that goes inside the notorious San Pedro prison in Bolivia. The company is aiming to produce content that offers fresh perspectives and diverse voices, according to the founders.
