In a significant announcement, acclaimed director Suresh Krissna has revealed his plans to helm a new film titled 'Anantha', which is perceived to be a biopic on the renowned spiritual leader Sri Sathya Sai Baba. This project marks Krissna's return to feature film direction after more than a decade, as he prepares to bring the life of the spiritual icon to the big screen.
The first look poster for 'Anantha' has been released, confirming the film's focus on the spiritual leader's life and legacy. The production is being led by Girish Krishnamurthy under the Inner View banner, with Kavin KR and Chidambaram M serving as executive producers. This collaboration is seen as a significant step for Krissna, who is also concurrently working on another project called 'Charukesi'.
The casting for 'Anantha' includes veteran actor Jagapathi Babu in the lead role, supported by acclaimed actresses Suhasini Mani Ratnam and YG Madhuvanti in key roles. This ensemble is expected to bring authenticity and depth to the portrayal of the spiritual leader and those around him.

The film's music will be composed by the renowned musician Deva, with lyricists Pa Vijay and Ramajogayya Sastry handling the Tamil and Telugu lyrics, respectively. This multilingual approach aims to ensure the soundtrack resonates with diverse audiences. Pa Vijay is also responsible for writing the Tamil dialogues, while Dr P Rajendra Kumar is working on the Telugu dialogues, further emphasizing the production's commitment to linguistic authenticity.
The technical team for 'Anantha' includes experienced professionals such as Sanjay BL as the director of photography, S Richard as the editor, and Vasudhevan as the art director, bringing their expertise to the project.
