The news of his demise left the Indian entertainment industry in mourning, with Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan among those who paid heartfelt tributes to the beloved actor.
Bachchan, who had shared screen space with Shah in films like 'Shakti' and 'Bhoothnath', wrote an emotional note on his blog, reflecting on the loss of "another of us" and the "grim" times. Salman Khan, who had known Shah since he was 15 years old, shared a personal memory, describing the actor as having "lived life kingsize" and saying he would be missed.
Satish Shah was a fixture of Indian entertainment for over four decades, known for his effortless humor and impeccable timing.
