From Street Vendor to Bollywood Mogul

Vashu Bhagnani's remarkable ascent from humble beginnings to a prominent Bollywood producer exemplifies an inspiring rags-to-riches story. His entrepreneurial journey commenced at the young age of 13 when he began selling sarees on Kolkata's footpaths to aid his family financially.

Relocating to Delhi and Mumbai, Bhagnani explored small-scale manufacturing and real estate before venturing into the film industry. In 1995, he established Pooja Entertainment, a production house renowned for backing commercially successful films.

Bhagnani is particularly celebrated for his "No. 1" film series, which featured actors like Govinda in hits such as 'Coolie No. 1' and 'Hero No. 1.' His extensive filmography also includes cult classics like 'Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya' and 'Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein.'

In a unique turn of events, Vashu Bhagnani and Shah Rukh Khan, who have a long-standing professional relationship, are now connected through real estate. As of now, Khan and his family are renting four floors in 'Puja Casa,' a luxury Bandra building co-owned by the Bhagnani family, while their own residence, Mannat, undergoes renovations.
