Varun Dhawan recently recounted the most severe injury of his career, sustained during the shooting of the upcoming film "Border 2." The actor revealed on Instagram that he suffered a painful tailbone injury after striking it against a rock while attempting to avoid hitting a camera during an action sequence. He described the incident as the "worst pain" he has ever felt, which significantly impacted his mobility.
Despite the excruciating discomfort that left him struggling to walk, Dhawan, portraying Major Hoshiar Singh Dahiya, persevered with filming. He extended his gratitude to the "Border 2" crew for their assistance in enabling him to continue working. The film, set during the 1971 war, is presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series in association with J.P. Dutta's J.P. Films and is directed by Anurag Singh.
"Border 2" is a spiritual successor to J.P. Dutta's 1997 blockbuster "Border." Dhawan is also slated to appear in "Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai," with a release date of June 5, 2026. This film's title is inspired by a popular song from David Dhawan's 1999 movie "Biwi No. 1."
