Vampire Santa Claus Unleashed in New Horror Comedy

Finnish director Ilja Rautsi is set to debut his horror-comedy, "Red Snow," which introduces the world's first vampire Santa Claus. This upcoming film, slated for release later this year, reimagines a familiar holiday figure as a terrifying antagonist. Rautsi's vision combines elements of horror and comedy, aiming for a "funhouse, carnival type of scariness" that is ultimately enjoyable.

The film stars Hannu-Pekka Björkman and follows a teenage goth girl who confronts the vampire Santa. Rautsi emphasized the use of practical effects, including prosthetics and liquids, to enhance the visceral experience. He expressed a desire for "Red Snow" to become a new Christmas tradition for audiences seeking a darkly humorous cinematic experience.

"Red Snow" is produced by Bufo, known for arthouse films, and co-produced by Allfilm (Estonia) and Hobab (Sweden). The film's unique concept and Rautsi's directorial approach promise a memorable and potentially blood-curdling holiday viewing experience.
