Souther detailed Perrine's courageous battle with her illness, noting her spirit and resilience. To honor Perrine's wishes, Souther launched a GoFundMe campaign, aiming to raise funds for burial at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Perrine, born in Galveston, Texas, had a notable career that included an appearance in "Slaughterhouse-Five" and a groundbreaking nude scene on television in "Steambath."
Her performance as Honey Bruce in "Lenny" earned her an Academy Award nomination, a Best Actress award at the Cannes Film Festival, and a BAFTA. She also portrayed Miss Teschmacher, Lex Luthor's girlfriend, in the Superman films.
