USC Libraries Announce 2025 Scripter Winners

The USC Libraries are set to celebrate the year's most accomplished film and episodic series adaptations at the annual Scripter Awards. This prestigious event also honors the writers of the original works that inspired these adaptations. The winners will be announced during an elegant black-tie ceremony scheduled for Saturday, January 24, at the Town & Gown ballroom on the USC campus.
Among the honorees is acclaimed author Michael Connelly, who will accept the USC Libraries Literary Achievement Award. This award recognizes his profound impact on mystery storytelling, encompassing both his widely read novels and their successful screen adaptations. Connelly's creations, including detectives Harry Bosch and Mickey Haller, have inspired popular franchises.
The 2025 Scripter selection committee reviewed a substantial number of submissions, considering 43 film adaptations and 64 television adaptations in their deliberations.
