In November 2025, it was announced that Dan Fogelman, the creator of the hit NBC series This Is Us, is recruiting another alum from that show for his upcoming Hulu football drama. Mandy Moore, who starred as the matriarch of the Pearson family on This Is Us, is set to join the cast in a recurring role.
The untitled series, which is being produced by 20th Television and Skydance Sports, is described as being set inside the world of the NFL and having a generational family component. Christopher Meloni has been tapped to lead the cast as the team's head coach, Danny, with fellow series regulars Sam Corlett and Tanner Zagarino playing his sons. The ensemble also includes William H. Macy as the team owner, Hank, and Chloe Bennet and Moore as Hank's daughters.
In addition to Moore, the series has also recruited Omar Epps, another This Is Us alum, to play a recurring role as a former NFL player who is now the Offensive Coordinator. Epps recently appeared in a recurring role on the Starz series Power Book III: Raising Kanan.
The series is being executive produced by Fogelman, Jess Rosenthal, Kevin Falls, David Ellison, Jesse Sisgold, and Jason T. Reed. Production is currently underway, with the show expected to debut on Hulu sometime in 2026.
