Junichi Kato, famously known as Unko-chan, the leading Japanese livestreamer on Twitch, has become the center of a significant personal scandal. His popularity, which peaked in September 2024, was overshadowed by revelations about his private life.

The controversy unfolded in September 2025 when adult actress Ai Hongo claimed she and Kato were dating, and that he had told her he was divorced. Kato subsequently admitted to an extramarital affair, a stark contrast to his earlier statements and his wife's appearance on a livestream confirming her knowledge of his meetings with Hongo.
