12 Nov
Summary
- Sequel to 2021 Spanish hit comedy "Operación Camarón"
- Undercover cops infiltrate Galicia's summer fiesta circuit
- Contrasting cultures lead to high-energy on-stage and off-stage antics

In November 2025, it was announced that Spain's La Pepa Films is re-teaming with Mediaset España's film arm Telecinco Cinema and Movistar Plus+ to produce "Operación Camarón 2," the sequel to the 2021 Spanish hit comedy "Operación Camarón."
The original film, which was a Spanish adaptation of the Italian comedy "Song 'e Napule," became a box office success and was a hit on Spanish television. Now, the creative team behind the first installment is returning to flip the franchise's undercover conceit, this time sending the cops to infiltrate the Galician summer fiesta circuit.
According to producer Álvaro Alonso, the sequel will see the main characters out of their element in Galicia, leading to a "high-energy culture clash of on-stage spectacle and off-stage schemes." Production is set to take place largely in Galicia, with cameras slated to roll in mid-May 2026 and a Spanish theatrical launch targeted for 2027.
The partnership configuration of Telecinco Cinema, Movistar Plus+, and Buena Vista International alongside La Pepa remains the same as the first film, mirroring the successful commercial playbook. Toplining actors Julián López, Carlos Librado "Nene," Natalia de Molina, and Paco Tous are also expected to return.
