10 Nov
Summary
- Two new 'Ishq' films, 'Tere Ishk Mein' and 'Gustaakh Ishq', to release on November 28, 2025
- 1997 film 'Ishq' also released on the same date
- 'Tere Ishk Mein' is a spiritual sequel to 2013's 'Raanjhanaa'

In a remarkable coincidence, the Bollywood film industry is set to witness a unique event on November 28, 2025. Two highly anticipated romantic films, 'Tere Ishk Mein' and 'Gustaakh Ishq', are both scheduled to release on the same date. What makes this even more intriguing is the fact that the 1997 hit 'Ishq', starring Aamir Khan and Ajay Devgn, also premiered on November 28.
'Tere Ishk Mein' marks the return of actor Dhanush and director Aanand L Rai, who previously collaborated on the 2013 film 'Raanjhanaa'. The new project is being touted as a spiritual sequel to the earlier work, with Dhanush and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles. Meanwhile, 'Gustaakh Ishq' features an ensemble cast including veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah, Vijay Varma, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Sharib Hashmi. The film's soulful music is composed by Vishal Bhardwaj, with lyrics penned by the acclaimed Gulzar.
Interestingly, both 'Tere Ishk Mein' and 'Gustaakh Ishq' will have their premieres at the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa. Attendees of the festival will get a chance to watch 'Gustaakh Ishq' four days before its official release, while 'Tere Ishk Mein' will have its premiere on the day of its theatrical debut.
The coincidence of these two new 'Ishq' films releasing on the same date as the 1997 classic 'Ishq' has certainly piqued the interest of Bollywood enthusiasts. It remains to be seen if the 2025 releases can replicate the success of the earlier film, which went on to become the third biggest hit of 1997.
