Twinkle Khanna: Separating My Parents From Their Rumors

Twinkle Khanna discussed her unique upbringing as the daughter of Bollywood legends Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia. She revealed that she learned from a young age to disregard the incessant rumors surrounding her parents. Khanna explained that the public personas depicted in magazines were vastly different from the parents she knew at home, allowing her to easily distinguish between fiction and reality.

She stated that personal knowledge of her parents' true character prevented media speculation from affecting her. Despite being raised by two of Hindi cinema's most celebrated figures, Khanna described her childhood as surprisingly normal. Her father, Rajesh Khanna, made an effort to connect with his daughters even with a demanding schedule.

Khanna also touched upon the dual nature of being born into a famous film family, seeing it as both a burden and an opportunity. She acknowledged that initial access might stem from lineage but emphasized that sustained success depends on individual merit and personal effort.

Today, Twinkle Khanna has established herself as a successful author, columnist, entrepreneur, and producer. She is married to actor Akshay Kumar, and they have two children, Aarav and Nitara.
