On October 1, 2025, Twilight actor Jackson Rathbone marked 12 years of marriage to his wife, Sheila Hafsadi, with a heartfelt Instagram post. In the post, Rathbone shared 7 pieces of advice for maintaining a happy and healthy relationship.
Rathbone began by encouraging his followers to "Marry your best friend," emphasizing the importance of building a strong foundation of friendship in a marriage. He also advised couples to "Fight for your relationship, not for your own self" when facing conflicts, and to have "open and honest conversation about your feelings."
The actor's tips took a more intimate turn as he suggested couples should "Make love (at least) once a week, forever" and "Talk about it. What feels good, what doesn't. Things you want to try. Boundaries. Try new things."
Rathbone and Hafsadi met in 2011 when the actor was performing with his former band, 100 Monkeys, and saw Hafsadi working at a nearby venue. "It was one of those things. I always said I believed in love at first sight, but I never really had that feeling before," Rathbone had previously told PEOPLE.
The couple tied the knot in September 2013 with a carnival-themed wedding in Calabasas, California. They now share three children: sons Monroe Jackson and Felix Valleau, and daughter Presley Bowie.
