Aanchal Khurana, known for her roles in popular television series, has departed from the family drama 'Tu Juliet Jatt Di.' Citing underutilization and a disrupted shooting schedule, Khurana expressed disappointment with her role as Richa, having been contracted for 26 days a month but shooting minimally.
Khurana submitted her papers in May, requesting to be relieved by June despite a 90-day notice period. She cited the difficulties of being based in Chandigarh for a show with an inconsistent schedule, impacting her ability to take on other assignments. She stated that being an actor requires being on set and performing.
Looking forward, Khurana is seeking roles that are more meaningful, contemporary, and creatively satisfying. She shared her aspiration to host a travel show and portray realistic, relatable characters in fiction. Khurana believes that audiences today connect more with evolved characters, suggesting that outdated tropes contribute to declining television viewership.
