President Donald Trump acknowledged the box office success of his wife Melania Trump's documentary film, "Melania," during an event in Washington, D.C., on Thursday, February 19, 2026. The president humorously remarked that there isn't enough room in a single family for two stars, referring to himself and the First Lady.

"Melania" premiered on January 30, 2026, after a January 29 debut at the Kennedy Center. Backed by a substantial $40 million deal with Amazon MGM Studios and a $35 million marketing campaign, the film garnered $7.04 million in its opening weekend.

Despite the strong start, the documentary experienced a significant downturn in its box office performance. By its third weekend, the film's gross revenue had fallen by 62% compared to the previous week. As of its third weekend, "Melania" had earned a total of $15.4 million.

Prior to the film's release, Melania Trump announced in November 2025 the establishment of her new production company, Muse Films. Her senior advisor, Marc Beckman, stated that the company will focus on producing lifestyle content for film and television, targeting female audiences with themes such as fashion, art, music, sports, entertainment, technology, family, health, and wellness.
