Tron: Ares Chases Limitless at Global Box Office

As of November 1st, 2025, the latest Tron film, Tron: Ares, has been in theaters for three weeks and has earned $125.4 million worldwide. While this places it among the top 30 highest-grossing films of the year, the movie is still far from recovering its reported $180 million production budget.

Despite its mixed critical reception, with a 53% Rotten Tomatoes score, Tron: Ares has already surpassed the global totals of several popular films. However, it is now approaching the lifetime earnings of a fan-favorite sci-fi hit starring Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro - the 2011 film Limitless.
