Travis Kelce is currently under scrutiny for liking a video featuring comedian Shane Gillis' opening monologue from a recent Saturday Night Live episode. The comedian's jokes, especially those targeting women's clothing, had already generated considerable controversy. Kelce's engagement with this specific clip has amplified the discussion.
This incident is notable as Kelce has previously expressed his admiration for SNL, having hosted the show in 2023. His social media activity, including following the show's official account, makes his interaction with Gillis' monologue a focal point for observers. The monologue in question included remarks that some viewers deemed misogynistic.
Further complicating the situation is a prior connection between Kelce and Gillis, who made a surprise appearance at Kelce's Tight End University summit earlier in the year. While liking a video doesn't necessarily equate to agreement with its content, Kelce's action has fueled speculation and debate among fans online. He has not yet provided any public statement to clarify his intentions.
