- Kayla Nicole, ex-girlfriend of NFL player Travis Kelce, deactivated her X account
- Resurfaced tweets from 2010 allegedly contained racist and homophobic language
- Nicole's Halloween costume sparked online controversy, referencing Kelce's fiancée Taylor Swift

As of November 9th, 2025, Kayla Nicole, the ex-girlfriend of Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce, has deactivated her X account following a wave of controversy. Multiple media outlets reported that the 34-year-old "Pre-Game" podcast host took this action on November 6th, after a number of her alleged old tweets from 2010 resurfaced, containing what was described as racist and homophobic language.
The resurfaced tweets came shortly after Nicole recreated Toni Braxton's music video look for Halloween, which also sparked online backlash. In the video, Nicole was seen lip-syncing to lyrics from Braxton's 2000 diss track, leading some to speculate that it was a shady response to rumors that Kelce's current fiancée, Taylor Swift, may have referenced Nicole in her song "Opalite."
Nicole later addressed the costume choice on her podcast, explaining that it was inspired by a childhood memory involving a different "Taylor." However, the controversy surrounding Nicole's social media activity and her past relationship with Kelce continues to unfold, even as the NFL star and his new fiancée, Swift, have been spotted enjoying a romantic evening in New York City.
