Toya Johnson-Rushing recently addressed persistent rumors concerning her teenage pregnancy with rapper Lil Wayne. She clarified that Lil Wayne's mother, Jacida Carter, did not pressure the then-couple into having a child. Johnson-Rushing and Lil Wayne, who share a daughter named Reginae Carter, were only 15 and 16 years old when they conceived their child.

During a recent podcast appearance, Johnson-Rushing expressed surprise at the rumors, stating, "When I saw that I cringed because I don't know where that comes from." She emphasized that neither she nor Lil Wayne knew they were expecting a child at the time. Lil Wayne had previously commented on the rumor, suggesting its origin was unclear and that the conversation attributed to his mother had not occurred as reported.
