Toxic Movie's Box Office Plunge: A Tragic Tale
31 Aug
Summary
- Toxic movie experienced a sharp decline in daily collections after a strong opening.
- The film is projected for a dismal financial finish, incurring heavy losses for producers.
- Horrendous word-of-mouth significantly impacted the movie's performance post-release.

The film Toxic, led by Yash, has experienced a significant downturn in its box office performance following a promising opening. After securing Rs. 118 crore GBOC in India, the movie's daily collections have seen a sharp and continuous decline.
Initial projections indicated a first Monday collection of Rs. 6.50 crore to Rs. 7.00 crore, with the Hindi version contributing approximately Rs. 4.50 crore. The combined collections from Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada versions were estimated at Rs. 2.50 crore. However, the film has faced widespread rejection from audiences.
As of the current reporting, the six-day total for Toxic stands at Rs. 238 crore. The film is now predicted to finish with a disappointing total of around Rs. 260 crore, a result largely attributed to the initial strong opening day numbers.
The drastic drop in performance is primarily due to overwhelmingly negative word-of-mouth among cinema-goers. This has led to substantial financial losses for the producers, who will now focus on recouping their investment with future projects.
