The movie, set in the 1950s during the Vimochana Samaram period, follows the character of Krishna Pillai, also known as Christopher. He is tasked by the Church to move to a remote village to counter rising communist group tensions.
Tovino Thomas portrays the central character as a tough enforcer and a Yakshaganam performer. The film also features Prithviraj Sukumaran in a notable, albeit limited, role as a menacing landlord.
Analysis of recent box office data reveals that 'Pallichattambi' collected Rs 48 lakhs on its second Wednesday, with an overall occupancy rate of 14.8 percent. The Malayalam version accounted for the majority of these earnings, with 15 percent occupancy, while the Telugu version saw much lower engagement.
