Horror Game Tormented Souls Now a Film Franchise!

Exclusive motion picture and television rights for the survival horror franchise Tormented Souls have been acquired by ZQ Entertainment, Prime Universe Films, and Longevity Pictures. ZQ Entertainment is set to finance the development and co-finance production of this new cinematic venture.

Adrian Askarieh of Prime Universe Films, alongside Ara Keshishian and Petr Jakl of ZQ, and Majd Nassif of Longevity Pictures will produce the project. Gabriel and Germán Araneda Quijada from Dual Effect, the original game developer, will executive produce, as will Josh Wexler of Pure Imagination Studios.

Tormented Souls, originally released on Steam by Dual Effect and PQube Games, later expanded to PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch, with a sequel also developed. The game's narrative centers on Caroline Walker's investigation within the decaying Wildberger Hospital, uncovering terrifying secrets and supernatural occurrences.

Producers express their commitment to honoring the game's beloved elements while delivering a chilling cinematic experience. They view this acquisition as the foundation for a significant new horror franchise, capitalizing on the game's growing passionate global audience.
