Six Flags Over Texas has officially opened its new roller coaster, Tormenta Rampaging Run, on July 9th. This groundbreaking attraction holds multiple world records as the tallest, fastest, longest, and first-ever giga dive coaster, reaching a height of 309 feet before a dramatic 285-foot, 95-degree vertical drop.
The ride experience begins with a slow, steep ascent, offering panoramic views of the surrounding city and the Dallas skyline. Following the initial plunge, riders are propelled through two large loops and a corkscrew. After a brief pause, the coaster continues with two smaller loops and a sharp curve before concluding its approximately 2 minute and 45 second journey.
Despite the thrilling, but brief, minute of main ride elements, the park anticipates long lines, even during the summer heat. Amenities like shaded corrals with fans and misters are available. Tormenta Rampaging Run is a significant addition to the amusement park, which remains open daily through August 16th.
