She describes the region's unique food culture and beautiful scenery, and promises that the chefs competing this season are "amazing and fun and up for the challenge."
Despite the high level of talent on the show, Simmons assures that the judges have never been "forced [to eat anything]" terrible, even in the early seasons when the show was still "figuring out the formula." She explains that with the caliber of professional chefs featured, "it's not about eliminating the worst dish every episode" as the food is consistently of such high quality.
