Tony Winner Ben Platt Announces 10-Show Residency at LA's Ahmanson Theatre
17 Oct
Summary
- Broadway star Ben Platt to perform in LA homecoming concert series
- Residency features special musical guests, like his 2024 Broadway shows
- Marks return to Ahmanson Theatre where Platt launched his early stage career

In October 2025, acclaimed actor and singer Ben Platt announced a 10-show concert residency at the Ahmanson Theatre in downtown Los Angeles. The two-week engagement, titled "Ben Platt: Live at the Ahmanson," is set to take place from December 12-21, 2025.
The residency marks a homecoming for the Tony, Grammy, and Emmy-winning entertainer, who launched his early stage career at the Ahmanson in productions like "Dead End" and "Caroline, or Change." Directed by two-time Tony Award winner Michael Arden, the concert series will feature Platt performing selections from his solo albums alongside beloved musical theater classics.
Each night of the residency will also include special musical guests, similar to Platt's 2024 Broadway concert series that featured high-profile artists like Cynthia Erivo, Nicole Scherzinger, and Sam Smith. Center Theatre Group's artistic director Snehal Desai described the upcoming event as "the holiday event of the season," promising that audiences "never know who's going to join [Platt] on stage each night."
Platt, 32, first gained national attention for his role in the "Pitch Perfect" films before originating the title role in the Broadway and film adaptations of "Dear Evan Hansen," for which he won a Tony Award. He has since released two solo albums and starred in the Netflix series "The Politician."
