Summary
- Tony Hawk regrets not starring in a Looney Tunes movie.
- The movie, 'Skate Jam', was canceled due to another film's failure.
- Warner Brothers offered Hawk a million dollars for the role.

Skateboard icon Tony Hawk recently revealed a significant career regret: the cancellation of a planned Looney Tunes movie. Hawk shared on a Netflix talk show that he was offered the starring role in a film tentatively called 'Skate Jam,' which he believed would have been a dream project.
This ambitious venture by Warner Brothers was contingent on the success of Brendan Fraser's 2000 film 'Back in Action.' Unfortunately, 'Back in Action' underperformed at the box office, leading Warner Brothers to abandon further investments in Looney Tunes projects at the time.
Hawk was reportedly very keen on the idea, even being met by studio executives in an airport restaurant with storyboards. He was offered a considerable sum of "a million bucks" upfront, underscoring how serious the studio was about the film.
Despite the original 'Space Jam' achieving success and a subsequent sequel, 'Space Jam: A New Legacy,' receiving a lukewarm reception, Hawk still laments the missed opportunity for 'Skate Jam.' Recently, there has been a resurgence of interest in Looney Tunes, as seen with the well-received film 'The Day the Earth Blew Up,' though Hawk was not involved.
