Tommy Lee Jones is set to star alongside Ethan Hawke in the upcoming second season of the Western-noir series 'The Lowdown.' Created by Sterlin Harjo, known for 'Reservation Dogs,' the new season will begin production in Tulsa, Oklahoma, this spring. Betty Gilpin is also a new addition to the cast.
The series follows Lee Raybon, a citizen journalist whose investigation into the influential Washberg family uncovers a deep-seated local conspiracy. The plot intensifies after Dale Washberg's suspicious suicide, propelling Raybon to seek the truth.
Season 1 of 'The Lowdown' boasted a notable cast, including Keith David, Kyle MacLachlan, and Peter Dinklage. All episodes from the first season are currently streaming on Hulu.
Jones, an Academy Award winner for 'The Fugitive,' has a celebrated filmography including 'No Country for Old Men' and 'Lincoln.' His recent work includes 'The Burial' alongside Jamie Foxx.
