Britain's Health and Safety Executive (HSE) determined that Project Temple Productions Ltd failed to implement proper biological monitoring for crew members exposed to isocyanate paints. These paints are known to cause workplace asthma due to the hazardous mist they emit.
HSE issued an improvement notice to Project Temple in April due to breaches of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. The production company subsequently complied with the required regulations within a month. This ruling marks one of the rare instances of HSE issuing notices against TV shoots, with Tomb Raider being the most high-profile case in recent years.
