Lara Croft's New Adventure: Mind-Blowing Secrets Revealed

Amazon is significantly expanding its "Tomb Raider" franchise with multiple upcoming projects. The gaming arm, Amazon Games, will release "Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis," a remake of the original 1996 game, in February 2027. This will be followed by a brand-new title, "Tomb Raider: Catalyst," later in 2027.

"Tomb Raider: Catalyst" is described as a bold new direction, with Lara Croft embarking on an adventure across Northern India. The game is set after a mythical cataclysm that has awakened ancient secrets. Players will see Lara racing to uncover the truth and confront notorious treasure hunters.

Voice and performance capture actor Alix Wilton Regan, who voices Lara in both games, expressed immense excitement, describing the scripts as mind-blowing. She confirmed she has been working on both projects simultaneously since 2022. Regan also mentioned that the upcoming live-action "Tomb Raider" series, starring Sophie Turner, is expected to be fantastic.

Regan is approaching the Lara Croft character differently in each game, aiming for a slightly younger and more innocent portrayal in "Atlantis" compared to the more experienced Lara in "Catalyst." Both new games draw inspiration from the original "Tomb Raider" titles and the Angelina Jolie films, while also acknowledging Camilla Luddington's portrayal in the "Survivor" trilogy.
