Tom Holland disclosed that a detailed succession plan for the role of Spider-Man has been in development for approximately five years, originating after the completion of 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' in 2021. Holland expressed a personal ambition to be directly involved in the process of selecting and mentoring his successor.
He articulated a clear vision for transitioning the iconic web-slinger role, stating that while the plan is subject to change, it is already substantially laid out. Holland's involvement aims to ensure an exciting and well-managed handover.
