While promoting the 2010 film 'Knight and Day' in Seville, Spain, actress Samantha Harris had a terrifying on-set experience where Tom Cruise rescued her from a falling Ducati motorcycle. Harris, who was interviewing Cruise at the time, attempted to sit on the bike and it began to tip over, nearly crushing the actor. Cruise reacted swiftly, catching the heavy motorcycle and preventing an accident.

This incident occurred as Harris reflected on her personal health journey. She has faced multiple battles with breast cancer, first diagnosed in March 2014 at age 40. This experience has profoundly shifted her perspective, leading her to become a fervent advocate for health awareness.

Harris now stresses the critical need for individuals to be their own health advocates. She shared that doctors initially dismissed a lump she discovered, even after a clear mammogram. Despite reassurances, her instincts prompted her to seek more diagnostic tests, ultimately leading to the discovery and removal of a tumor.

Following a mastectomy, it was found the cancer had spread to a lymph node. Though she has experienced a recurrence in August 2024, Harris remains positive. She is focused on wellness and is feeling more energetic and healthier than ever.
